LAS VEGAS MONORAIL
The Las Vegas Monorail is a transit system running along the east side of the Strip. Linking seven stations over four miles to eight resorts and the Las Vegas Convention Center, the driverless monorail provides a quick ride through the heart of the resort corridor. The monorail operates 7 a.m. - 2 a.m., Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. - 3 a.m. Friday-Sunday. Fares are $5, one way; $9, two way; $35, 10-ride pass; $15, one-day pass; $40, three-day pass.
BUS

Established in 1992, CAT provides seven-day-a-week bus service in the Las Vegas area. Most services are provided in half-hour (or less) intervals. Most bus service is offered from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m., but some service ends at 12:30 a.m. In addition, nine routes operate 24 hours a day. Prices are reasonable with discounts for seniors, children under 12 and disabled individuals. Fares are $1.25 regular fare and $.60 discount fare for one-way residential routes. Fares are $2 regular fare and $1 discount fare for one-way strip routes.

Located next to the Union Plaza Hotel in downtown Las Vegas, the Greyhound Bus Services station is open seven days a week, providing transportation to destinations throughout the United States.

McCarran International Airport, part of the Clark County Airport System, is one of the busiest airports in the United States and the world. As of 2001, it ranked as the sixth busiest in the nation and the ninth in the world. More than 36 million passengers are served annually, and nearly 900 daily scheduled flights operate in and out of the airport.
Since the renovation of the existing terminal in 1985, McCarran has spent more than $1.1 billion on airport improvements and construction projects to stay ahead of growth in Clark County. In 2000, the airport announced its “Vision 2020” plan, which provides for $1.8 billion in airport expansion projects over the next decade, including a new international/domestic terminal and additions to the current D Satellite.
Currently, 28 scheduled airlines provide nonstop service to more than 80 domestic and international destinations. Among the flight destinations are Canada, Mexico, Belgium, Germany, Japan and England.

Affiliated with McCarran International Airport through the Clark County Department of Aviation, this public airport serves North Las Vegas and the surrounding area. Specializing in small, private planes, North Las Vegas currently is the second busiest airport in the state of Nevada in terms of aircraft operation.

A public airport serving Henderson and surrounding areas, Henderson Executive Airport formerly was known as Sky Harbor Airport. In 1996, the Clark County Department Aviation purchased the airport. An airport master plan soon will be implemented to renovate this older facility.

A local Amtrak motorcoach service is available to the Los Angeles rail station. The Las Vegas pickup stop is at the Las Vegas Greyhound station, 200 S. Main.
